Es ist eine wirklich schöne Geschichte, die den Kleinen nicht nur zeigt, welche Farben es gibt, sondern, dass man Kreativität zeigen darf, auch wenn dies nicht immer der Norm entspricht. So darf ein Monster auch mal Rosa sein, die Sonne orange anstatt gelb...Ein tollles Buch
Sehr unterhaltsames Kinderbuch. Die Wachsmalstifte entscheiden sich, ihrem kleinen Besitzer Briefe zu schreiben und somit allem angestauten Ärger Luft zu machen.Aufgrund der Textmenge und eher unregelmäßigen Schriftart handelt es sich hier definitv um ein Buch, das gemeinsam mit erfahrenen Lesern konsumiert werden sollte. Erstleser haben hier ihre Schwierigkeiten.Thematisch sehr kindgerecht und voller Anregung zum Nachdenken.
Das Buch macht einfach gute Laune. Die Bilder versetzen einen sofort in die eigene Kindheit oder die der eigenen Kinder. Dazu kommt ein Text, wie er lebendiger nicht sein könnte. Ohne jede "kindgerechte" Attitüde, ohne Belehrung oder pädagogische Absichten sprechen die "crayons" aus ihrem Leben. Nach der Lektüre dieses Buches ist man auf jeden Fall besser gelaunt als vorher.
Read tons of positive reviews, but we didn't like it. The crayons are really whinny... Not something I want my l.o. to pick up on.... I would not have bought it at a bookstore, because there I could have read a bit and had noticed right away that it wasn't for us...
Die Wachsstifte ziehen aus, weil sie mit der allgemeinen Situation (LOL) unzufrieden sind. In mehreren Briefen werden die Gründe für die Entscheidung geklärt. Ich finde die Geschichte kreativ und lustig und alles andere als langweilig. Es kostet am Anfang etwas Zeit die Texte simultan auf Deutsch zu übersetzen aber weil diese unkompliziert sind, klappt das eigentlich ganz gut. Und die Bilder sind auch schön. Meine Kinder haben viel Spaß mit dem Buch und ich lese es auch total gerne vor.. und weil wir die Geschichte sehr mögen haben wir uns das 2. Buch über die Rückkehr der Crayons bereits bestellt ;)

Die Geschichte der Malstifte, die in den Streik treten, ist schön erzählt und wunderbar illustriert. Das Englisch ist einfach gehalten. Auch, wer nicht so sprachsicher ist, versteht es.
Humorvoll, kreativ und unterhaltsam. "The Day the Crayons Quit" ist auch für Erwachsene ein Vergnügen. Jede "Farbe" schreibt ihren ganz persönlichen Beschwerdebrief und zeigt, wie unterschiedlich die Charaktere der Stifte sind.
