Vorweg sei gesagt, dass ich ein Riesenfan von Iris Apfel bin. Ich finde sie einfach großartig. Sie ist trotz, oder gerade wegen ihres hohen Alters, ein absolutes Vorbild in Sachen Mode für mich. So möchte ich im Alter auch gerne sein. Darum habe ich schon einiges von ihr gesehen, sowohl Videos als auch Bücher.Als nun das neue Buch hier erschien musste ich es natürlich umgehend haben. Ich dachte aufgrund des witzigen Covers, das sicher wahnsinnig viele tolle Fotos im Buche sein müssten. Doch wie wurde ich enttäuscht! Das Buch ist eine einzige Mogelpackung in meinen Augen, denn Fotos von Iris Apfel sind kaum welche drin. Stattdessen irgendwelche Grafiken oder Fotocollagen von irgendwelchem bunten Firlefanz, und natürlich Text. Nee Leute, das kann's ja wohl nicht sein. Wenn ich so ein Buch kaufe, dann will ich auch viele, viele Fotos von Iris Apfel sehen und nicht irgendeinen Pop Art Sch...
Wer die Doku über Iris Apfel gesehen hat, bekommt hier das Buch für den Nachttisch. Immer wenn man ein bisschen Inspiration, ein bisschen Zuversicht in Sachen Älter werden oder einfach ein bisschen Farbe braucht, blättert es sich ganz wunderbar!
